Chris joined North in 2011 and is responsible for legal advice on corporate and commercial matters.

Current Role
Chris leads the Group's Corporate and Legal Function and plays a central role in developing and delivering the Group's strategy and managing organisational change.

Background
Chris is qualified as a Solicitor in England and Wales and has over 13 years experience supporting businesses on a diverse range of corporate and commercial matters. At North, Chris has played a leading role in the development of the Group's Corporate and Legal function and the delivery of transformational change projects. For example, Chris acted as the Group's lead on all legal aspects of North's acquisition of Sunderland Marine and more recently led the successful development and delivery of the Group's Brexit contingency plans. As Group Company Secretary, Chris also works closely with the Group's Boards, Executive Team and Leadership Team to develop the Group's strategy. In 2019, Chris was awarded an MBA with Distinction by Durham University and his team was named Legal Department of the Year at the 2019 Northern Law Awards.
