Paul joined Sunderland Marine in 1986 and has gained significant experience in the handling of marine casualties.
Paul is responsible for managing the Claims department including oversight of the handling of all claims emanating from hull & machinery, P&I and aquaculture risks. Paul is also part of the North Group management team and is responsible for reporting on Sunderland Marine claims development.

As part of our integration following completion of the merger to create NorthStandard on 20 February 2023, we have changed the name of “North of England P&I DAC ” to “NorthStandard EU DAC” with effect from 6 October 2023.
What’s changing
From 6 October 2023, our Irish insurance company, North of England P&I DAC, has changed its name to NorthStandard EU DAC. This is purely a name change of the company and will only be relevant to those members and policyholders who are insured by North of England P&I DAC. Details of your insurer can be found in your insurance documentation.
There will be NO change to the terms of the underlying insurance business written by North of England P&I DAC other than the name change. All the other insurance companies within the NorthStandard group will continue to use their existing names and provide their current services.
