Chris Barrett, Branch Manager & Hull Underwriter (New Zealand)

Born in the fishing town of Whitby, NE England, Chris joined the company in 1989 after a career as a Deck Officer in the Merchant Navy. Qualified with a BSc in Nautical Studies, he originally worked in the Claims Department before transferring to Underwriting eleven years later. A relocation to the New Zealand branch office followed in 2006 where Chris and his family soon became New Zealand citizens. Whilst his role as underwriter continues, Chris has also taken on the responsibility of Branch Manager and claims liaison. Chris is proud to represent Sunderland Marine as part of the North Group in New Zealand.

Andrew handles Hull & Machinery and P&I claims worldwide with specific responsibility to oversee Australian claims. Andrew joined Sunderland Marine in 2005.

Graham handles Hull & Machinery and P&I Property claims worldwide with specific responsibility to oversee New Zealand claims. Graham also provides support on Aquaculture claims. Graham joined Sunderland Marine in 1996.
